A treasure hunt

… and the outcome (04.11.2017)
(by Michael)

It was dark – except for the full moon. I was in a small village that nobody knows. Many steps led me to a small church. I had expected to be more or less the only guest. But far from it – about 50 people were there. Amazing

I squatted in the back, still free bank and watched the incoming. An expectant tension was in the air. And then it was the time.

A single person appeared – a minstrel and storyteller. In one corner, a stage was set up, on which he had already set up with his props and on which he set himself in scene by appropriate lighting. What was it all about?

Ekkehart had been researching for many years to find out the true story behind a known legend. Finally, he unexpectedly met another minstrel at a service station. A mysterious person, who at least after many questions told his first name: Volker.

But – Volker claimed to know the true story and background as well as all the places that Ekkehart had been researching about for so long. And the next day he wanted to lead Ekkehart to the spring where Siegfried actually died. Exactly – it’s about the Siegfried or the Nibelungen saga. And interestingly enough, the Nibelungen song was written by a Volker

Ekkehart played all the roles: Volker, Ekkehart, Siegfried, Krimhild, Brunhild, Gunther, Hagen. Impressive, also a little scary. And – the Nibelungen saga also contains an important message.   …   Search for Ekkehart Voigt.

After visiting the cemetery, I took the stairs again and disappeared in the night.

White Cat with skyblue Eyes

On the Blumenhof in the KuHuStall (26.10.2017)
(By Christa)

I was with Michael and wanted to drive back home on Sunday afternoon. “Tonight there is the” Lyric night on the Blumenhof”, in the KuHuStall, Michael tells me so casually. He probably guessed the effect that words like poetry, night and KuHuStall would have on me. My spontaneous answer: “okay ….. I’ll come with you.”

We arrived in the large courtyard with lit pumpkin pots and many doors. One led into a not very big former stable with many chairs and a stage. At the entrance a small bar with fragrant pumpkin soup and mulled wine. Next to the stage a wood burning stove / fireplace that was well fired – a cozy atmosphere.

The entertainer, Ekkehart Voigt, introduced the evening and told – a little later – a fairytale story of how a white cat with sky blue (!) Eyes visits him after midnight (2:30) and offers him a mysterious gift. After a long hesitation she eventually gets out of it: “One full hour” !!   –   It is the night of the time change to winter time, which evidently also moves the animals! I still had to smile during the other contributions with guitar and poems.

An extremely funny contribution came from Daniela about cleaning the windows (or more precisely said about the strategies to avoid this because of the streaky results) – a banal activity so humorously-extended, accompanied by pantomime, to the work of the cleaning completely surrendered, presented !! This is how everyday life can be.

Similar to his activity profoundly expired: Jonas, who talked about a day of car washing and polishing. Meticulously, every move becomes an extended trick. With the sensitive movements along the contours and curves, this is an erotic experience in which he gets more and more in rage – with climax at the end … .   –    I ventured a look to Michael, who also polished and waxed his car a few days ago.…….”but not sooo“!!

In between, some insightful poems by the young Irina and some haikus with restrained ironic guitar accompaniment. The drummer Katja touched me deeply with her Bougarabou from Ghana. She has told a story with the drum: It starts delicately, with only the tips of his fingers typed, then the warm bass comes along and builds up a small drama of sound levels becoming ever more living. The soft melodic sound of the drum as well as the supple dexterity and lightness of the artist fascinated me.

I did not keep all parts. Impressing to me was how such an evening can succeed with a few creative ideas, unusual ideas and brave people (artists)!

Disneyland Paris

Disneyland Paris
(By Christa)

3 days Paris. No,  we did not go to the city, the Louvres or the Champs Élysée, we stayed in Disneyland, where the European Conference of the company Reliv took place.

Disneys Conference Center

Reliv is a cellular food that balances our bodies and has helped many people recover, even when doctors had run out off ideas.

There were about 500 participants from all over Europe, and we did not know each other except for the few that came from the same region. Since we were all filled with the same idea and were curious about all the testimonials of others, a familiar atmosphere arose soon, yes, a loving togetherness. So it was easy to make new friends. In the café, I had a spontaneous encounter with a Frenchwoman, from whom – despite the geographic distance – a wonderful friendship developed. And the party night on Saturday was the culmination of closeness and familiarity.

Our hotel was the Newport Bay Hotel in Disneyland, a large area with several hotel units and many conference rooms. Opposite on the other side of the man-made lake the actual Disneyland, an amusement park for the whole family. Everywhere children ran around in beautiful princess dresses and with Micky Mouse ears, colorful made-up and hilarious. With a huge red balloon you could lift off in the sky. This and the many lights of the park in the evening were enticing photo opportunities for Michael. With a photographer on the side you look different and discover hidden things or bright moments.

We had little time to stay on this amusement site, but at breakfast we gathered a bit of the lively atmosphere from the many kids.

So this weekend has touched two very different levels, the conference with the workshops and loving encounters on one hand and the colorful, sometimes a bit noisy world of Disneyland on the other hand.
